Baidu and NVIDIA have jointly announced the “2024 Baidu Search・Wenxin Intelligent Agent Innovation Competition” on August 29, 2024. This exciting contest features two main tracks and five challenge topics, aimed at pushing the boundaries of AI agent development.
The competition is divided into two primary tracks:
- Technical Track: Participants are tasked with developing an LLM-based agent capable of intelligently orchestrating and scheduling a vast array of tools to answer complex, open-domain questions.
- Intelligent Agent Application Track: This track is further divided into four sub-categories, focusing on creating practical AI agents for various scenarios:
- Daily life and entertainment
- Specialized expert systems
- Commercial activities and transactions
- Open innovation
The competition offers substantial rewards, including a total prize pool of nearly 500,000 yuan in cash. Additionally, participants will receive technical support from Baidu, free access to the Wenxin large model 4.0, use of the Agent framework, and a series of intelligent agent development courses.
The competition timeline is as follows:
- August 29, 2024: Registration opens
- August 29 – October 7, 2024: Preliminary round, featuring online courses, video tutorials, and offline salons
- October 18 – 25, 2024: Finalists announced and final submissions
- Mid-November 2024: Offline awards ceremony
